Hydrogen Bulletin: 5–12 October 2026

Highlights of the Week

Infrastructure was the main theme of the week. The Government of Denmark is allocating 16,5 billion Danish kroner (EUR 2,2 billion (≈ USD 2,5 billion) (≈ RUB 209 billion)) for a hydrogen pipeline to Germany. DESFA took a final investment decision on a 145-kilometre hydrogen-ready trunk pipeline. BMW Group started building a pipeline that will connect its Leipzig plant to the hydrogen core network. On the technology side, a lifetime record for solid oxide electrolysis stands out: 25 000 hours with virtually no degradation. The overall mood is restrained, though: DNV lowered its forecast for clean hydrogen in 2060.
