"Hydrogen Bulletin: 28 September – 5 October 2026"
Highlights of the Week
The week's key technological result is the publication of data from a 25 000-hour test of an industrial solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC) stack, which showed degradation of 0,05 % per 1000 h [1, 269]. In the electrolyser market, the standout is a 280 MW Plug Power contract for a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project in Denmark [82]. EU member states are stepping up direct support for projects [22, 103, 226]. The broader picture, however, is mixed: global sales of fuel cell trucks fell by 55 % over the half-year [240]. Of the 31 GW of European projects planned through 2030, a final investment decision (FID) has been taken on only 3 GW [315].
