Hydrogen Bulletin: 1–7 September 2026
Highlights of the week
The week brought two opposing signals. In Russia, the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom began construction of a test bench facility for electrolytic hydrogen at the Kola NPP with a design capacity of 200 Nm³/h — the first step towards developing large-scale nuclear hydrogen. In the West, by contrast, the culling of projects continues: Air Products and Yara have scrapped their blue hydrogen and ammonia complex in Louisiana, while the Swiss authorities declined to provide a financial guarantee for converting part of Transitgas into a hydrogen corridor, citing uncertain demand.
